Seeing the Lisbon Sights is all About Looking
Always Look Up in Lisbon
Don't Miss that Unique Image and Experience on Tour
Just like the intricate pattern on the ceiling of this late 16 century Jeronimite Monastery Church in Lisbon that was an innovation of architectural achievement of its time. More of a web of stone tracery than a vaulted covering it has the amazing effect of making this Monsatery's roof almost flat. It is as though someone had put up a floating awning on top of tall stone palm trees, a throw back maybe to the experiences that the sailors saw on their discoveries.
